Dry needling is an effective and safe modality performed by inserting a thin needle into muscle tissue. This helps to decrease tension, decrease pain, promote healing and improve function of the muscle tissue. This service is offered to any patient whom we feel it will play a helpful role in their recovery as a part of their treatment plan.
Myofascial cupping is another modality used by our team as a form of soft tissue work to increase blood flow, release fascial and muscle restrictions, improve scar tissue mobility and promote healing.
Don't see your specific issue or not sure we can help? Schedule a free phone consult and we'd be happy to answer any questions you have.
Want to know more about pelvic floor physical therapy or have questions about your symptoms or condition? Schedule a complimentary phone consult with Dr. Bethany Nordahl to get your questions answered and see how pelvic floor physical therapy can benefit you! If we are a good fit for you, we will schedule your initial visit over the phone.
You will have an initial evaluation including a thorough history, pelvic floor assessment (which may include an internal exam if indicated) as well as assessment of the core system and investigation into other contributing factors throughout the body. We will discuss your findings and begin treatment and education on the first visit. Follow up sessions are recommended on a weekly basis initially and are important to the progress toward your goals. This is where we use manual therapy techniques and individualized coached exercises to address your issues as well as dive deeper into discovering the true root cause of your issues.
If you are outside the Billings area, we can meet over a virtual platform. While I would love to see you in person, the truth is that a lot can be done virtually!
What to expect:
I may have you get up and show me how you move and even have you lay down on the floor to coach you through some self assessments. Through education, visual demonstrations and coaching we will figure out a plan together to address your needs!
