Pelvic Floor Therapy

What Is Pelvic Floor Therapy?

Pelvic floor therapy is specialized care for the muscles, connective tissues, and nerves that support your bladder, bowel, reproductive organs, and core. These muscles are foundational to so many aspects of daily life—from controlling your bladder to supporting a healthy pregnancy, recovery, or sexual function.

At Arrow Pelvic PT, we use a whole-body approach to assess, treat, and heal pelvic floor dysfunction. Whether you’re dealing with leaking, pelvic pain, prolapse, or postpartum recovery, know this: you don’t have to just live with it.

what we specialize in:

If you’ve ever wondered, “Is this normal?”we’re here to help you find out.

Wait —We’re Probably Different.

We know pelvic floor therapy can feel intimidating or unfamiliar. And if you’ve tried it before and didn’t get results, you’re not alone. Here’s how we do things differently:

Not just internal work

We do internal assessments only when appropriate and only with your full consent and comfort. But that’s just one piece of the puzzle.

Not just pelvic floor

We assess and treat your entire body—because everything is connected. Sometimes your hip, foot, or diaphragm may be contributing to your pelvic symptoms.

Not just kegels

Spoiler: Kegels aren't always the answer. In fact, they can make things worse if your muscles are already tense or overactive.

Not done until you reach your goals

We don’t stop your care just because the average protocol says so. We support you until your symptoms are gone and your goals are reached—whether that’s running again, having pain-free sex, or confidently jumping on a trampoline.

What It’s Like to Work Together

We don’t guess—and we don’t just treat symptoms. Every step of your care is thoughtful, hands-on, and designed to help you heal fully.

Full-Body Assessment

Your initial evaluation is 90 minutes. We’ll take a head-to-toe look at how your body is moving and functioning—not just your pelvic floor. Our goal is to find the root cause of your symptoms.

Manual Therapy

Most sessions begin with hands-on work. This may include dry needling, cupping, soft tissue release, mobilizations, or internal work (when appropriate). This makes a huge difference in reducing pain and improving function.

Exercises +
App Access

We’ll walk you through personalized exercises together during your session. Then, you’ll get access to our app—complete with video demos and progress tracking—so you feel confident between visits.

Your roadmap to lasting relief

This isn’t about managing symptoms—it’s about resolving them. The Arrow Method gives you a clear path to get back to the life you love, leak-free and pain-free.

1. Assess & Restore

We start with a full-body and pelvic floor evaluation to uncover the root cause of your symptoms. Then we rebuild your foundation—we restore symmetry, activate your deep core, and lay the foundation for lasting change.

2. Reload

Once your system is stable, we begin safely adding impact, resistance, and real-life demands—so you can run, jump, laugh, and lift without hesitation or symptoms.

3. Reclaim

You return to the things you love—whether that’s CrossFit, intimacy, or playing with your kids. We make sure your symptoms stay gone, or that you know exactly how to manage them.

FAQ

Your first visit is 90 minutes and includes a full-body and pelvic floor assessment. We’ll talk through your history, symptoms, goals, and what’s been going on in your body. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s contributing to your symptoms and a plan for what comes next.

Not necessarily. Internal exams are sometimes helpful for assessment and treatment—but they are never required. We’ll talk through all your options and only proceed if you’re fully informed and comfortable. Many clients benefit from therapy without any internal work.

Yes! Whether you had a vaginal birth, C-section, or haven’t given birth at all, you can still experience pelvic floor dysfunction. We treat people during pregnancy, after birth, and at all stages of life.

Yes, we do. While our clinic is designed with women in mind, we do treat men experiencing issues like incontinence, pelvic pain, or post-prostate complications. If it’s not something we can help with, we’ll always refer you to a trusted provider who can.

Absolutely! We’re a family-friendly space—babies and kids are welcome. Many of our clients bring their newborns or toddlers, and we’re happy to accommodate.

Many of our clients come to us after trying therapy elsewhere without getting the results they hoped for. Our approach is different—we treat the whole body, not just the pelvic floor, and we combine manual therapy, movement, and deep core retraining to create lasting change.

That depends on your symptoms and your goals. Some people feel relief in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support as they return to higher levels of activity. We’ll create a plan that fits your body, your life, and your progress.

We’ve intentionally created a care model that’s low-volume, high-touch, and fully focused on you. That means:

  • Longer, private sessions
  • No juggling multiple patients at once
  • A clear plan with consistent follow-up
  • App-based video support between sessions

In contrast, many in-network clinics are high-volume and rushed, with short appointments and long gaps between visits. We believe you deserve care that’s built around you—and actually helps you get better.
